Kunstpark Ost (KPO)

This very varied recreation area built on the almost 60.000 m² grounds previously used by a "Pfanni" factory is Germany's largest "amusment mecca". Here you will find discos, clubs, bars, restaurants, cinemas, amusement arcades, an Art and Antiques flea market etc. etc. etc.
For instance there is the "Ultraschall" for those who can't get enough Techno and Electronic Music or the "Babylon" with dancefloor sounds and NDW-classics (1980s german pop ie Kraftwerk"). The "K 41" is the place "Mainstreamers" meet, it is the "Allround-Party-Club" of KPO with themed music i.e. Polka, Disco-House, Easy Listening among others. The "Heizkraftwerk", aka KW, and the Milchbar are the places the "in-crowd" meet to see and be seen!
If you prefer something a little more "refined" the "Bongo Bar" is probably for you - an interestingly decorated gem for Oldies fans. Even lovers of Heavy Metal are catered for: in the "Garage" every Friday the "good old records" are brought out and you can rock to sounds such as "TNT" from AC/DC.
