(Military College)

The military university -"BWH"- was established in 1973 in Hamburg and Munich so that the ever lower numbers of long serving career officers could receive a scientific education separate from their military training to help them meet the increasing demands of the officers job.

The subjects offered are divided into the areas - electronics, mechanical engineering, and business studies. Unlike civilian universities the BWH has a fixed study period of 3 years - each of 3 terms - followed by 3 months preparation for the final exams.
